We have recently launched our online campaign to raise 3750 dollars! That is the cost of 3 months worth of food, water, rent,teacher salaries, and administrative costs for 200 orphans at 2 orphanages. We are raising this amount at once so we can focus on upcoming large fundraising initiatives such as:

-The DC Peace Festival

- Partnering with organizations and volunteers for small fundraisers

- Finding long term corporate sponsors and donors

-Researching and applying for grants

I would like to thank all of you for supporting our project to raise awareness on the crisis in Somalia. I am reporting back with good news! We won the “Do More Than Donate. FWD the Facts” challenge by The United States Agency for International Development on The GOOD maker. We will receive $5000 for our project proposal; The DC Peace Festival: Ending Conflict and Famine in Somalia. We will also be featured in digital and social media channels by USAID and the Ad Council.
